Yellow Spot was one of the most highly anticipated new releases from Irish Distillers in recent years. This marks the revival of a classic brand once accompanied by Green Spot and Blue Spot whiskeys. The pot still content in Yellow Spot is medium-weight, similar to Green Spot, but it undergoes a longer aging process, maturing for at least 12 years.
This exceptional whiskey is drawn from a combination of three types of casks: ex-bourbon, sherry, and Malaga casks that previously held Pedro Ximenez wine. The addition of PX casks contributes significant weight, body, and flavor, giving Yellow Spot an extra layer of complexity.
While it retains some of the signature freshness found in Green Spot, Yellow Spot offers a clear step up in quality and depth.
